Named for the Ephraim Basehor who founded the town in 1889, Basehor is a progressive city with excellent schools, great recreation and new and established neighborhoods. Close by are Village West and the Legends Shopping Center, which offer first class shops, stores, boutiques, specialty stores and restaurants. Village West is also home of the Great Wolf Lodge, a premier indoor water park.
